Castroe has been producing retrowave as far back as 2010, and maybe earlier than that! i 1st heard Castroe on Maniac Synth, LuigiDonatello + NRW, the original 3 YouTube channels that introduced the world to the modern synthwave movement. Don't skip this! it will sound fresh 50 years from now, and perhaps even 500 years from now. I'd love to time travel to 2500 A.D. and check out what future humans listen to!! Don’t let the title fool you. ‘Less Than Zero’ isn’t a summary of the experience’s you are about to have.

No, the synth sound-slabs laid down on this EP are as fresh as a tropical breeze, and the bountiful base is radiated like the heat of the midday sun. Both will have you, in no doubt, reaching for the repeat button at the end.

Can you imagine that there is a pool side of a pastel licked motel, somewhere near the equator, that is aching for these vibes? Well, that place is already populated by us.

We only wished that Castroe created Acapulco shirts to go with our lobster tans, slip on loafers, and mirror-shades, as we would then be considered cool. But not as cool as this artist.

In fact, we have a new name for cool, and it is Castroe.
